Dog n’ Bull is a hip Croydon bar located right next to the Croydon train station. If you sit outside, which is heated during the winter, you can catch the train speeding by. The bar has special nights for live music, Sunday brunches, and sushi Mondays. The Dog n’ Bull is well known for its burgers, which is what Ali ordered. For $15, I had a cup of tomato bisque topped with shredded Parmesan and a grilled salmon wrap filled with mixed greens, sun-dried tomatoes, candied walnuts, goat cheese, and a strawberry vinaigrette. I’d never had salmon in a wrap before, but it was delicious. The portion was just enough, and it was pretty well worth it. Plus, I got to dine at the bar with my sister. I dined at the Dog n’ Bull a second time around, where I sat in the outside dining area with my guests. I was not as satisfied with the food or the service this time around; I do however have to compliment the sweet potato bisque, which was sweet, and thick like mashed sweet potatoes. The bar’s menu is eclectic, so I would go back again.
